The Cinema Organ Society Proudly Presents its 2018 Midlands & Wales District Convention

The Cinema Organ Society’s (COS) 2018 Convention will be based in Solihull, close to the COS Midlands Compton at Fentham Hall and will travel to Burton-on-Trent Town Hall, Shrewsbury Buttermarket and Tywyn, Wales. Many of these venues and instruments have not featured on a convention before so this is a unique opportunity to sample some of Britain’s 3-manual delights in the hands of highly regarded professional organists.
The organists featured will be: David Gray, Nicholas Martin, Simon Gledhill, David Shepherd, David Lowe, Adam Evans, Dorian Collins, Carol Williams, Richard Hills, Robert Balfour-Rowley, Andrew Nix, Tony Stace, Mike Sullivan & More…
The convention will be taking place from Friday 14th to Monday 17th September, inclusive, with the Monday event being an additional option or ‘encore’ day.
Practice Sessions

On this convention you can also take advantage of an instructed practice session with professional organists such as Simon Gledhill and David Shepherd, relax and listen or play late in the evening in our dedicated social music room, attend workshops with consummate experts to understand more about what makes the instruments work and how to get the best out of them. There promises to be something for everyone!
Crowne Plaza, Solihull
