Dear Dancing Friends,
Once again it is my pleasure to present you with another collection of Sequence Dance Tunes. As before, I like to play some old favourites mixed with some lovely melodies that may be new to you. After a lively start with two Quicksteps, composed by Irving Berlin & George Gershwin, we have a lovely Waltz, “The Seventh Heaven Of Love”, recorded by André Rieu. Then we have a German waltz, “Patrona Bavariae”, which is latin for “Mother of Bavaria”. For a Rumba we have “La Reine de Saba” which translates as “Queen of Sheba” and a lovely Guitar piece “La Playa” (The Beach). For one of the Saunters we have “Wenn die Sonne erwacht in den Bergen” (When the Sun Wakes up in the Mountains). Included in the Tangos is “Holiday In Honolulu”, this is a composition by the Wersi superstar, Franz Lambert. Cha Cha Cha time with a seldom heard but catchy tune, “The Dancing Cat” composed by one of my favourite composers Henry Mancini. For the second part of the Blues, we visit France with “Aux Champs-Élysées”, a major avenue in Paris. After two beautiful melodies composed by Franz Lehar for the Slow Foxtrot we have, “Schön, wie der junge Frühling” (Beautiful as the Early Spring) & “Du warst für mich der schönste Liebestraum” (You were the most beautiful love dream for me). By special request, I have included a Bonus track for my Dancers who love Line Dancing, “The Waltz Across Texas” includes the title track, “Could I have this Dance”, recorded by Anne Murray and “Someone must feel like a fool tonight” by Kenny Rogers.
This is the first recording on my latest keyboard the Yamaha Genos. I use this for all my Dances & Concerts. I hope you enjoy this selection of music played on this wonderful instrument & once again, see you on the Dance floor!)
Best Wishes, Andrew.
