I hope you enjoy my arrangement of Rogers and Hammerstein’s ‘The Sound Of Music’. I originally didn’t set out to arrange this piece, it started off life as just my experimentation with the new combinations of sounds between my two main instruments.
In this arrangement, I have used the sounds from the Yamaha Stagea ELC-02 Electone and the Virtual Theatre Pipe Organ – The Paramount 450. This new combination of amazingly realistic sounds by the Yamaha Stagea ELC-02 and stunning digital recreations of a Theatre Pipe organ by the P450 is my first arrangement using this particular pair of instruments and I’m really loving the combination and I hope you do as well.
‘The Sound of Music’ was originally written back in 1958 and released on Broadway in 1959.
20th Century Fox’s lavish film version was released on March 2nd, 1965 to a mixed initial response but it subsequently proved a huge public and box office success. The film has endured as one of the all-time musical favourites and continues to hold a special place in the hearts of many.
